Any body seen Spring??? I thought it was around here somewhere? This month we'll be prodding it along by opening the studio for the year and March First Friday with a photographic show featuring the work of Morgan Miller entitled Departure.

The Hilliard Gallery will have their first show at their new location. Human Form : a group show comprised of artist from throughout the Midwest area, will open on March 5th and run through March 27th at the Hilliard Gallery. The "Human Form" show is the third annual figurative show comprised of artist and their work that was selected from submissions for the show. The show will feature artwork inspired by the human form, from different artist working in all types of mediums from oil, photography, ceramics, sculpture and more. Opening Reception: 6-9 pm First Friday March 5th with the show running through March 27th. Regular gallery hours: Tuesday through Friday 10-5, Saturday 11-4 and Monday by appointment. Friday, March 5, 2010 6-12pm PBR themed artwork by KC Artists Live Music Starts at 8:30pm. 21 & over only after 8pm, please bring your ID.Feel free to dress up in PBR costume & participate in the Fashion show at 7:00 pm, judging complete by 8pm.Free Event Sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer! This month the Plenum Space Gallery will have a photographic show entitled: ‘Urban Deflation pt1; argumentum ad populum’ by Drew Orrin-Brown Drew uses her imagery to express her existential nialistic worldview, often filled with critique of our social structure: sexuality, gender roles, and expectations contrasting across rural, urban, and media America. Show runs March 5th through March 26th. After March 5th, viewings are by appointment only. Call Hannah Mott (816.929.5930) to schedule..
